We are looking for a seasoned Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in carrier networks. The ideal candidate will be a Juniper JNCIP-level professional with hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of JUNOS, Carrier MEF standards, and proficiency in Solution Design and ITIL practices.

Scope of responsibilities

  1. Design, implement, and maintain the O1T carrier network based on Juniper technologies
    • Core Network Configurations including; IS-IS, BGP, LDP, RSVP, MPLS, EVPN-MPLS, L3VPN, QinQ
    • CPE/Edge related configurations including; G8032, QinQ, VRRP/HSRP, OAM/CFM (y1731, y1564), L2PT
    • Management/OOB network related configurations including; IKE/IPSEC, BGP/OSPF, Zone Based Firewalling (JUNOS), RADIUS, NTP
    • Public Peering, RIPE LIR Maintenance, Service Provider BGP Security
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive network solutions that meet client requirements.
  3. Ensure compliance with Carrier MEF standards and best practices.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements providing expert guidance on network guidance and architecture.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

Technical Profile

  • Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer in a carrier environment
  • Juniper JNCIP-SP certification is highly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of JUNOS and hands on experience with Juniper networking equipment
  • Strong understanding of Carrier MEF standards
  • Proficiency in Solution Design and ITIL practices
  • Knowledge on broad network security practices desirable
  • Familiarity with SNMP NMS systems highly desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
