What area do you work in and what does an average day look like?
I work in the professional services team as an application support specialist. I am about to move into the service area of the business in a T3 support role. There is no such thing as an average day for me, no two days are the same. I can be assisting the sales and pre-sales department in a solution design/ professional services quote one minute and then dealing with a customer outage the next. Each day is different and that’s one of the things I love about my job.
Where do you work and what do you like about it?
I mainly work in the Manchester office, but can be found driving the length and breadth of the country visiting customer sites for meetings or installation / upgrades of their solutions. The whole of FourNet, north and south has a good vibe and everyone makes you feel that you are part of the FourNet family.
What’s it like to work at FourNet?
It’s been said before, but I truly do love my job. I’ve worked in the communications business for 20+ years.I have worked in the large 2000+ employees sector and smaller companies over the years and FourNet is one of my favourites. I like the teamwork ethic, that everyone has a real can-do attitude. I feel that the customer focus is second to none. I have seen the company grow in the last 2.5 years and look forward to the future with this company.
What’s your biggest achievement or highlight of your time working at FourNet?
FourNet is committed to providing an environment where every employee can flourish and reach their potential and for me that is able to reach out to customers old and new and assist them in their journey. I am particularly proud of the fact that FourNet has won some considerable customer contracts with my assistance and that I was specifically requested to work on a project based on work I completed for that customer with a previous employer.
What would you tell a prospective candidate applying for a job here?
If you’re committed to providing the best service to our customers, have a can-do attitude, a good sense of humour, and have the thirst for knowledge, then this is the place for you. Career fatigue is an unknown ailment in FourNet!
