We’re looking for a skilled Technical Architect to join our team, this role is critical component of the Fournet Technical Design Authority. This specific role will specialise in secure infrastructure with a strong focus on Extreme Networks VOSS based designs. The role will involve direct presales customer engagement, developing robust and secure solution and technical designs, and ensuring vendor best practice, performance optimisation and security hardening is present in each solution. As a Technical Architect, you will directly contribute to the development of the TDA function including process improvement, developing the FourNet automation toolset for configuration and testing, and supporting the Operations team in terms of running development labs and similar practical demonstration workshops. Python scripting and automation skills would be a valuable asset for driving innovation and streamlining network operations.
Awareness and/or skills with regard to the Cisco and Fortinet firewall and routing portfolios would be an added advantage.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand and document client requirements and challenges.
- Present technical solutions, including Extreme Networks VOSS architectures, to stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver compelling technical proposals, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance on secure infrastructure strategies and Extreme Networks solutions.
- Lead the design of secure, high-performance infrastructure solutions leveraging Extreme Networks VOSS.
- Ensure designs meet client objectives, industry standards, and security compliance requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software components based on use cases and scalability needs.
- Determine and develop hardening measures to safeguard infrastructure against cyber threats.
- Contribute to automation strategies to support standard configuration, functional/non-functional testing in additional to adaptive policy driven networking.
- Share expertise with internal teams through workshops, documentation, and training sessions.

Technical Profile
- Experience of IT software procurement and contract management (desirable)
- Experience of the use of VOSS Extreme Networks technologies including but not restricted to:
- Fabric Connect, Attach and Extend
- Best practice configuration of XIQ-SE, universal hardware, Control & Cloud NAC
- Best practice configuration of dynamic routing and access policy
- Experience of dependent technologies such as RADIUS, Entra ID, LDAP
- Deep understanding of network protocols such as SPBM, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN
- Deep understanding of secure infrastructure principles including network segmentation, micro-segmentation, device and user access controls, authentication and verification
- Familiarity with Extreme Networks' management platforms (ExtremeCloud IQ, XIQ-SE)
- Knowledge of common security solutions and frameworks, such as firewalls, zero trust principles and CASB
- Must hold recent Extreme Networks certifications (Extreme Certified Specialist or Professional)
- Advantageous to hold industry standard networking certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
- Exposure to python for scripting and automation would be an advantage
