Annual CSO30 Awards recognise 30 IT leaders for their contributions to managing risk and cybersecurity threats

FourNet's Head of Security Operations has been named as one of the Top 30 IT leaders in the UK.

Alex Hisley, who helped to establish and now leads FourNet's 24/7/365 state-of-the-art Security Operations Centre (SOC) was confirmed last night as one of this year's CSO30 winners at a ceremony in London.

The CSO30 Awards UK 2024, run by Foundry, recognises 30 IT leaders within the UK - from security specialists to IT directors/heads - who have made significant contributions to the advancement of information risk management and security within the industry.

Alex Hisley, FourNet's Head of Security Operations, said: "These awards shine a very bright light on those in the cybersecurity industry who are today tackling some of the most serious online threats that we've ever seen. I'm extremely proud to be named in such esteemed company.

"This award is also great recognition for the dedicated, talented and diverse team that we've put together to run and manage FourNet's Security Operations Centre and to look after our customers."

Over the past two years, Hisley helped to establish FourNet's fully UK-based SOC, which is helping to keep FourNet's customers as safe as possible from extremely skilled and well-resourced threat actors and hostile nation-state groups.

FourNet's round-the-clock SOC is now a key element of the Manchester-headquartered company's customer experience, digital transformation and cybersecurity services, which are delivered via FourNet's own secure network and cloud platforms.

The SOC offers 24/7/365 monitoring, incident response and threat intelligence services for global customers and FourNet's highly-secure, award-winning ANTENNA service which supports more than 30 UK government departments and is designed for all UK Critical National Infrastructure organisations.

Richard Pennington, CEO of FourNet, said: "This is a proud moment for Alex, for FourNet, and for our highly skilled SOC team and this accolade should also reassure our customers that their cybersecurity is in expert hands.

"We are also very proud of the composition of our security team, which reflects FourNet's commitment to diversity – with 40% female representation and team members from around the globe."
