Vanessa Worsley, Head of Finance at FourNet, has been nominated as Private Equity based Financial Director of the year at the Finance Leaders’ Summit.

Over the past eighteen years, the FDs’ Excellence Awards have recognised those individuals who have played a pivotal role in the success of their organisation, who went above and beyond to deliver results and encourage growth.

The winners will be announced at the Finance Leaders’ Summit. This conference delves into the challenges and issues facing the UK’s finance directors. The Finance Leaders’ Summit will host finance directors from the UK’s leading SMEs, bringing all together for two days of networking, learning and inspiration.

Vanessa has been with FourNet for seven years, since that time Vanessa has been instrumental in supporting growth and helping to develop FourNet into a £30m turnover organisation with 85 employees, an increase from £3m and 20 employees since she joined the business.

 

“I have developed and put in place strong procedures and controls, not only within finance but across the wider business. I facilitated the introduction of automated expenses, credit cards, and a new accounting system. Although primarily involved in finance, I have also been responsible for HR, helping to develop this area of the business as well. I have supported every department across the organisation, from evaluating the financial impact of the introduction of new technologies sold onto the end user, to ensuring that FourNet remain commercially competitive and that the progression of its hosted cloud product offering becomes the cornerstone of future growth.”

Vanessa lives in Manchester and is married with two children. As a qualified accountant, she is very active in her professional development and this has seen her being a keynote speaker panel at this year’s Finance Leaders’ Summit.

In her spare time, she likes all types of outdoor activities including, walking, jogging, tennis and skiing and has organised a FourNet team to take part in the Manchester 10K BUPA run to raise money for their in-house charity Ace Grace.
