Scope of responsibilities

  1. Take a leading role guiding the client’s journey to new networking services, cloud, and managed services proposing the optimum commercial proposition
  2. Translate the client’s requirements, objectives and drivers into a technical solution that may consist of multiple managed services, technologies, networking services and cloud platforms
  3. Develop networking solutions to improve our managed services offering for our customers and prospects
  4. Shape end to end solutions where networking, security and compliance are fundamental requirements
  5. Provide technical and thought leadership in relation to architecture and networking service design throughout the business
  6. Work closely with the service delivery team to ensure both continuous service improvement and the evolution of services
  7. Work in partnership with key carrier and Service partners to develop value propositions
  8. Support the sales team in understanding the wider customer requirements, objectives and business drivers

 

Technical Profile

  • Experience in telecoms network services – SIP, NGN’s, legacy (ISDN, CPS etc) and the billing process,
  • A good understanding of mobile and WAN
  • Demonstrable private and public cloud design and delivery expertise which may consist of; Storage, Networking, Virtualisation (VMware and Microsoft) and Data Protection (Backup and Disaster Recovery)
  • Experience Designing / implementing high-availability connectivity and networking solutions with network service providers
  • Experience of defining strategy for enterprise and public sector organisations to create and improve remote / homeworking opportunities
  • Analysing cloud and on-premise costs + ROI calculations to support Business Case for networking and cloud solutions
  • Experience implementing hybrid connectivity between cloud environments and on-premise infrastructures using virtual networks and SD-WAN
