CISCO Technical Architect
FourNet is growing our Network and Security Practice. We’re recruiting for a CISCO Technical Architect to join our newly formed Networking and Security Practice at an exciting time at FourNet and in the industry as a whole.
We’re looking for an experienced pair of hands in order to further develop the team’s skillset. The role is suited to a Technical Architect with the vendor knowledge, an appreciation for common security frameworks and practices, alongside a native curiosity to push the technologies, integrations and latent value. This role will be encouraged to inform and support direct development of enhanced service via modern automation capabilities.
This is a fully remote role and we welcome applications from around the country.
What will the successful Technical Architect do?
The Technical Architect (TA) will be directly aligned to Cisco and Meraki secure networking technologies, with a specific focus on the following disciplines:
- Pre-sales and Sales support, specifically focussed on technical requirement elicitation
- Direct delivery of customer facing solution options and validation papers
- Direct delivery of technical design within a proscribed Low Level Design format
- Support of practical design validation workshops
- Direct support of strategic road-mapping with end customers and/or vendors
- Develop end-to-end secure infrastructure blueprints covering Catalyst and Meraki deployments
- Develop hybrid Cisco/Meraki technology stack to suit the needs of the customer
- Work with internal security teams to design and validate secure maturity models for our cisco customer base
- Conduct periodic security gap analysis for our customers to develop an ongoing focus security improvements and optimisations
- Architect segmentation and policy-based access frameworks using Cisco ISE and Meraki Adaptive Policy
- Deliver solutions which integrate Cisco Secure Firewall/FTD, Umbrella, Duo, Secure network analytics, Secure cloud Analytics and Meraki Security/SD-WAN
- Deliver solutions which enforce secure identity and access management
- Deliver security and compliance benefits to our customer via the design of technical controls in accordance with frameworks such as CIS v8, NIS2, NIST and ISO27001
- Lead infrastructure roadmaps across the Cisco and Meraki portfolios
- Engage with dependent teams such as the Sales function, the Professional Services team and the Cyber Security teams
- Provide support to Fournet portfolio development within the bounds of the in-scope technologies
- Assess new technologies made available from Cisco/Meraki in terms of fit to our customer base and target markets
- Familiar with available APIs via DevNet and Meraki Dashboar
- Familiar with common toolsets such as Ansible, Terraform and/or Puppetry
- Familiar with the capabilities of Python within a Cisco environment
- Familiar with CLI capabilities across the supported stack
