Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background before joining FourNet?
Before joining FourNet, I gained extensive experience across both operations and cybersecurity roles. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, I gained invaluable hands-on experience in managing security incidents, optimising reporting processes, and developing tools that improved the efficiency of client interactions. My background also spans operations and project management, where I coordinated complex IT support services, managed budgets, and ensured successful project delivery. Additionally, from previous roles over the years, I developed strong skills in finance, administration, travel management, budgeting, staff planning, payroll management, procurement, and customer service This diverse experience has equipped me with a solid understanding of both the technical and strategic aspects of cybersecurity, as well as a clear insight into how a business operates and delivers value. In my current role as Security Operations Manager, I lead a high-performing team, drive security measures, and ensure top-quality customer service, enabling me to contribute effectively to the success of the team.
How has your FourNet journey been like?
My journey at FourNet since the acquisition of Nowcomm has been highly rewarding. Following the acquisition, I transitioned into the FourNet team, taking on the role of Cybersecurity Analyst, where I quickly adapted and embraced new challenges. In this position, I gained hands-on experience in managing security incidents, optimising reporting processes, and improving client interactions. I was fortunate to work alongside the talented and supportive SOC team, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of cybersecurity and its strategic impact. Following this, I was promoted to Security Operations Manager, where I assumed more leadership responsibilities, managing a high-performing team and coordinating security operations. This transition has been a significant milestone in my career, and I've been able to further strengthen my skills in team leadership, security measures, and customer service. The collaborative environment at FourNet has been key to my success, as I've had the opportunity to work across departments, share knowledge, and contribute to the company's overall goals. Overall, my journey at FourNet has been one of growth, learning, and opportunity, especially as part of an evolving company. I'm excited for what the future holds and am proud to be part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
What has been the most challenging part of your role, and how did FourNet support you?
The most challenging part of my role is ensuring that security operations remain seamless and efficient while adapting to ever-evolving security threats. The dynamic nature of cybersecurity requires constant vigilance and the ability to respond quickly to incidents while maintaining high standards across the team. FourNet has supported me by providing the structure and resources necessary to manage these challenges effectively. The company fosters a collaborative environment where team members can share knowledge and solutions, enabling us to tackle issues more efficiently. Additionally, the clear communication channels within the company help ensure that challenges are addressed swiftly, allowing us to maintain a high level of service and security for our clients.
