Scope of Responsibilities

1. Manage day to day tickets including Incident Management, Service Request Management and Problem Management
2. Perform system analysis and integration with authentication and identity services.
3. Act as escalation point for all complex and high priority customer incidents related to data centre and infrastructure services.
4. Provide On call Support on a 1 in 4 basis
5. Provide onsite and remote support as needed.
6. Collaborate with Cisco and FourNet suppliers.
7. Coordinate with customer network and technical staff.
8. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide appropriate resolutions and analysis of root cause(s) in alignment with contracted Service Level Agreements.
9. Mentor and train technical staff to encourage team's growth and development. Including development of the T1 team
10. Support all core technologies including Security, LAN, WLAN, VMware, SAN storage, authentication, and identity services.
11. Utilise proprietary and industry standard tools and technologies to monitor, isolate and interpret related network traffic and faults - e.g., WireShark, Vendor analytics and similar tooling.
12. Provide Project support and Project Delivery

Person Specification

We’re looking for someone who has experience of Cisco enterprise routing, switching, Data Centre, wireless, ISE/security adjacency, LAN/WAN, firewall integration and network lifecycle support. In addition to this, we also require someone with proven experience working with one or more of the following products and technologies:

– Cisco UCS Servers, VMware and ESXi
– Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switching platforms
– Cisco Data Centre Experience
– Cisco Secure Network Analytics and DNAC
– Cisco SD-Access and SD-WAN
– Cisco ISR and ASR Routing platforms
– Cisco Catalyst Wireless platforms
– Cisco Meraki platforms (MX, MS, MR)
– Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FTD and FMC)
– Cisco Security stack (ISE, Umbrella, Secure Endpoint)
– MS stack, Active Directory and 365 Services, Azure

Technical Profile

  • Professional level understanding of network architectures, technologies, and common data transport protocols
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex routing and switching issues involving protocols and features such as BGP, OSPF, VRFs, SPAN/RSPAN and packet captures
  • Proven experience troubleshooting secure network access including 802.1x, RADIUS/TACACS, access-lists and issues relating to IDS/IPS
  • Proven experience supporting managed services and working within MSP environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication with unwavering dedication to the customer experience and ability to effectively articulate and/or document troubleshooting steps performed to include incident response and root cause analysis
  • Ability to gain and maintain industry standard certifications as required
  • Cisco CCNP certification is highly preferred
  • Experience in delivering Cisco Projects
  • Familiarity with SNMP-based NMS platforms (e.g. SolarWinds) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ITIL practices
  • Full UK driving licence
